Overview
Petsy is an all-in-one mobile solution designed to simplify pet management for modern pet owners. The application connects users with essential pet services, including veterinary care, professional grooming, and pet sitting. This project was awarded 2nd Place in the National UI Design Competition, recognized for its intuitive user experience and comprehensive approach to pet welfare.
Design Philosophy: Compassion & Convenience
The design of Petsy centers on Emotional Connection and Ease of Use.
Trust Building Interface: Using a warm and friendly color palette, Petsy aims to reduce the anxiety of pet owners when looking for urgent medical care or new sitters.
Streamlined Service Booking: The core UX focus was creating a frictionless "search-to-book" flow, allowing users to filter services based on location, ratings, and specific pet needs.
Community-Centric: The interface includes features for pet profiles and health tracking, making it a personalized digital companion for every pet’s life journey.
Technical Execution
UI Design & Prototyping (Figma): I developed the entire high-fidelity interface using Figma. This included creating a custom design system with rounded iconography and a playful yet professional typography set to reflect the brand's friendly nature.
Advanced Prototyping (MarvelApp): To validate the user journey, I built an interactive prototype in MarvelApp, simulating the end-to-end experience from onboarding to service checkout and pet profile management.
Research-Driven Approach: The layout was finalized after several iterations of wireframing, focusing on accessibility and visual hierarchy to ensure key information (like vet availability) is always front and center.
Recognition
Award: 2nd Place Winner – National UI/UX Design Competition.
Key Strengths: Recognized by the judges for the consistency of the design system, the clarity of the navigation flow, and the practical application of the solution in the current pet-care market.
