Bellanja - Seamless Grocery & Essentials E-Commerce Interface

 

Overview

Bellanja is a dedicated mobile e-commerce application designed to simplify the digital procurement of daily household essentials, such as poultry, rice, cooking oil, and other staple goods. The project aims to bridge the gap between traditional wet markets and modern digital convenience, providing a reliable and user-friendly platform for daily grocery needs.

Design Philosophy: Efficiency & Freshness

The visual direction of Bellanja focuses on Cleanliness, Accessibility, and Speed.

Intuitive Navigation: Recognizing that grocery shopping is a high-frequency task, the UI is engineered to minimize "time-to-cart," allowing users to find and purchase staples with very few taps.

Visual Freshness: A vibrant green-centric palette was selected to evoke feelings of freshness and health, which is critical for an app dealing with food products.

User Inclusivity: The interface features high-contrast typography and large touch targets to ensure accessibility for a wide demographic of users, from tech-savvy young professionals to household managers.

Technical Execution

High-Fidelity Design (Figma): Developed a comprehensive design system in Figma, including a reusable component library (buttons, cards, and icons) to ensure visual consistency across all screens.

Dynamic Prototyping (MarvelApp): Created an interactive end-to-end prototype using MarvelApp. This prototype covers the entire user journey—from the splash screen and onboarding to categories, product details, and the final checkout process.

Information Architecture: Structured a complex catalog of staples into logical, easy-to-browse categories, optimizing the search and filtering logic for everyday items.

Commercial Value

Bellanja showcases my ability to design high-conversion retail interfaces. It highlights my expertise in balancing aesthetic appeal with practical functionality, ensuring that the digital experience directly supports business goals in the competitive FMCG and grocery delivery market.
